The limits of CAQA Data's AVETMISS, validation and reporting support, and the responsibilities that remain with your organisation.
Information on this website is general in nature and is not a substitute for tailored professional advice. CAQA Data provides data preparation, validation and reporting support through agreed scopes of work based on the information supplied by the client, applicable regulatory settings and the purpose of the engagement. Regulatory, funding, accreditation, audit, legal, financial, certification or approval outcomes are determined by the relevant authority, body or decision-maker and cannot be guaranteed by website content or by any data service we perform.
CAQA Data can assist registered training organisations, TAFEs and other providers with the processes around national and state data reporting: preparing and structuring AVETMISS data, running validations and resolving errors before lodgement, supporting providers’ own USI data processes, cleaning and deduplicating student records, reconciling migrated data, preparing funding and claims datasets, and building the reporting routines that keep collections accurate between deadlines.
Assistance with process does not transfer accountability. Your organisation remains responsible at all times for the accuracy and completeness of its source data, for reviewing and approving prepared datasets, for authorising every submission made to a regulator, data collection agency or funding body, and for meeting its regulatory reporting obligations and deadlines. CAQA Data does not lodge data on your behalf without your written authorisation, and an engagement with us does not diminish the obligations your organisation holds under its registration, funding contracts or data provision requirements.
A dataset that passes validation against the rules current at the time of our work is not guaranteed to be accepted by NCVER, the AVETMISS Validation Software, a state training authority or any other collection point. Validation rules, business rules, collection specifications and submission windows change, and receiving bodies may apply additional checks of their own. Where our work is performed against a specific AVETMISS release or state collection specification, the engagement documents will say so, and results should not be assumed to carry over to later releases.
Support with USI data processes depends on the accuracy of the identity information your organisation collected from students. Verification outcomes rest with the Student Identifiers Registrar, and we cannot correct or guarantee identity records that do not match their source documents.
Preparation or review of funding and claims data is a data-quality service, not advice on funding eligibility. Determinations about eligibility, payment, recovery or contract compliance rest with the relevant state or federal funding body, and their published contract terms prevail over anything on this website.
Clean, reconciled data materially improves an organisation's position at audit, but audit and review outcomes are decided by regulators and reviewers on the whole of the evidence before them. Statistics published on this website, such as validation rates or lodgement histories, describe past engagements and are not a promise of future results for your organisation.
Reporting standards, AVETMISS releases, collection dates and regulatory expectations change frequently. We refresh this website periodically, but content may not reflect the most recent changes at the moment you read it. Always confirm current requirements with NCVER, your state training authority or the relevant regulator before acting.
